Schauspielhaus Foyer
In der Verschwiegenheit der Sommerpause nämlich fand im Foyer des Pfauen eine Palastrevolution statt. Der Raumkünstler Alexander Giesche, eines der acht Mitglieder aus dem neuen künstlerischen Team, und die Bühnenbildnerin Nadia Fistarol haben dem Eingangsbereich eine Verjüngungskur verpasst.
Das Stadttheater will ein Theater in der Stadt sein. Wenn im Foyer abends das neue LED-Deckenlicht angeht, so verspricht Giesche, soll die Kunst als Widerschein bis auf die Strasse strahlen: bald pulsierend, dann flackernd, getragen, gehetzt – jeden Abend in einer anderen Lichtstimmung. Selbst die Theaterpausen können in Zukunft lichttechnisch inszeniert werden. Das neue Schauspielhaus will atmosphärisch ein Techno-Schuppen sein genauso wie ein Musentempel, wenn einmal Goethe hier absteigt.
Die baulichen Massnahmen sind nichts anderes als ein Bild für die Absicht der neuen Intendanten. Sie sind deren erste künstlerische Setzung.

In the secrecy of the summer break, a revolution took place in the foyer of the “Pfauen”. Space artist Alexander Giesche, one of the eight members of the new artistic team, and stage designer Nadia Fistarol gave the entrance area a rejuvenating treatment.
The theater wants to be “a theatre in the city”. When the new LED ceiling light will be switched on in the foyer in the evening, Giesche promises, that the art will shine out onto the street as a reflection: soon pulsating, then flickering, worn, rushed - each evening in a different lighting mood. In the future, even the theatre breaks can be staged using lighting technology. The new theater wants to be a techno shed as well as a temple of the muses, if Goethe ever comes here.
The structural measures are nothing more than a picture of the intentions of the new directors. You are their first artistic setting.
